The Summer 2012 Contest
Writing is all about words. Many writers spend time poring over dictionaries and thesauri, absorbing intriguing words into their mental database. But language is a fluid thing, with new words and phrases emerging all the time.
If you're up for a writing challenge that takes both prescience and imagination, enter our What's the Buzz(word)? Contest.
The contest is easy to enter, and there are no fees. Just follow these steps:
The Contest
Create a buzzword that you think might emerge next year and give us a brief definition of the word and a sample sentence using the word. Entries are limited to no more than 100 words for the buzzword, definition, and sample sentence.
The Prize
The winning entry will be published in the upcoming Gotham catalog and posted online at WritingClasses.com. The author will receive a free 10-week Writing Workshop.
