"Write" of Spring Tweet Contest—2012

With a nod to spring, Gotham Writers' Workshop partnered with Writing.com to present The 'Write' of Spring Tweet Writing Contest.

Writers were challenged to dazzle us with a piece of writing of no more than 140 characters (characters = letters, punctuation marks, and spaces) on any topic and and in any form—fiction, nonfiction, or poetry.

Please join us in congratulating Robin Dennis (Flower Mound, TX) for writing the winning entry.

Man's Best Friend
Your dog got out. Found him scratching neighbor's door. Pretty blonde let him in. Knew his name. Your car out front. She can keep you both.

Honorable mention:

Granny's Garden
Granny worked in the garden in a worn floral dress. Her feet hidden in the soft furrows, she looked to be rising out of the earth herself.
