Here you will learn how to navigate the ins-and-outs of the movie and TV industry and you’ll write (and refine) the all-important pitch for your script. All under the guidance of a film and TV producer.

You won’t be told it’s impossible, or that it’s easy. You will, however, gain a realistic understanding of how the process works and how you can maximize your chances for success.

I learned a great deal. I came into this class with an extremely limited knowledge of the business of selling a screenplay. I now have enough information to approach this aspect of writing with confidence.

How To Sell Your Script

One-day Intensive

NYC info, tuition: $165
Registration fee $25, paid once per term

The NYC One-day Intensives are seven-hour crash courses, giving you brief lectures that hit the high-points and writing exercises that let you immediately try your hand at what you’ve learned. Arrive in the morning with a desire to learn; leave in the evening as a more knowledgeable writer.

Intensives are open for writers of any level. Students must be 18 years or older.

Students may reschedule a One-day Intensive one time.

How to Sell Your Script topics include: pitching your project, understanding the industry food chain, researching whom to target, learning how and when to approach prospects.
