My sister's name is Sid and my son is Sam. All my life I've dealt with their constant singing. I was going to be biased from the get go, but I really thought this was a cute and fun story. I can't wait til my son can read it to my sister.
As far as phonics-based, beginner readers go...this one was just okay The words were mostly fine, but the comprehension was a bit difficult. Has lots of quotes, indicating spoken words.
"Sid and Sam" by Nola Buck, is about the friendship between Sid and Sam. Sam asked Sid to sing. Sid sings a song that is very long, too long for Sam. Level 0.4
