For this contest, we asked you to write a memoir using only six words. Now we thank Rachel Fershleiser, co-editor of Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous & Obscure for selecting the winners from among the 700 entries we received. The winner is: Runners-up: I was statue; life’s a pigeon. Saying “I do”...completely undid me. Reclaimed maiden name after every divorce. Breast cancer: zero. My future: won. Had kitties—not kiddies.
