Dear Gotham,

I wouldn’t be here without the wonderful programs and instructors at Gotham. From the One-day intensives (so many great ones!) to the amazing Memoir Writing classes, I have taken full advantage of what Gotham has to offer and am better for it.

One of the key factors in succeeding as a writer is sharing your work. When I first started this journey, I was quite shy about my writing. It was like a long-held secret I feared I would ruin if I shared any of it. Enter Kelly Caldwell and her Memoir class. What a gift! The encouragement, enthusiasm and tone she set for the class gave me the confidence and courage to share my work. As a result, I published my memoir Memory Card Full.

Gotham is a true writer’s resource. I love that I can still reach out to previous instructors for feedback and advice. It’s not just a place where you take classes, it’s a community, and I owe my burgeoning writing career to them. Thanks Gotham!
