| Karen Kingsley is a retained consultant to domestic and international advertising and marketing agencies. She has served as an executive and writer in the advertising and trade publishing industries. She has written speeches, marketing collateral and advertising for companies such as Anheuser-Busch, Procter & Gamble, Ralston Purina, and Rubbermaid. She was SVP of Business Development at Deutsch Advertising, owned her own ad agency, was president of another, and EVP at a third. She has written for such trade publications as Progressive Grocer, C-Store Business, Women's Wear Daily, Supermarket News, and Home Furnishing News. She is currently a commentator on Retailwire.com, a Web site dedicated to the retail business.

| Brandi Reissenweber has published fiction in North Dakota Quarterly, Aspects, and Rattapallax, and she authored the chapter on Character in Writing Fiction (Bloomsbury USA), part of GWW's series of writing guides. She served as an assistant editor with Francis Ford Coppola's Zoetrope: All Story and as an editor at Washington Square. She has taught at NYU, St. John's University, Borough of Manhattan Community College, SafeSpace, New York Hospital, and Il Chiostro in Italy. She holds a BA from Purdue University and an MFA in Fiction Writing from NYU.
