Barbara DeMarco-Barrett is the author of the writing guide Pen on Fire (Harcourt), which won the Outstanding Book Award from the ASJA. She is a contributor to the Los Angeles Times and The Writer magazine, edits the ASJA Monthly, and hosts and produces the radio show Writers on Writing. She has taught at the University of California, Irvine.
